Ex Armed Forces

Our Armed Forces Technician Training Programme has been designed to support service leavers with the skills to transition into a civilian career. Opportunities are within our nationwide retail chain, so we’ll do our best to match you with a retailer that’s close to home.

What's the role?

Sharing our passion for classic cars and beautiful innovations, you’re proud to deliver a premium experience for our customers. You’ll offer an impressive service from start to finish: whether that’s diagnosing and repairing the full range of brand products, road testing vehicles or ensuring that vehicle parts are handled and stored appropriately.

What do you need to apply?

The ideal candidate will be experienced in Vehicle Maintenance, from a variety of backgrounds, whether that is armoured or light vehicles, preferably with an NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications or experience. Above all, we look for people who enjoy continuous learning, who love adapting to change and are excited about working towards this prestigious qualification.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence, a health and safety mindset and the communication skills to work well in a dedicated team.  And in return? There’s a competitive salary and package, plus all the training and learning opportunities to build a successful, technical career with a global brand.

Successful applicants are invited to a practical assessment at our Retail Training Academy and a 1-2-1 interview with the retailer. If all goes well, you’ll then attend a three-week course at our Retail Training Academy, which is where you’ll complete your Level 2 learner journey, and begin your new career as a JLR-approved Vehicle Technician.
